Nicholas County Health Department permits and annually inspects sewage tank cleaners according to W.Va. 64 C.S.R. 9. Sewage tank cleaners are people engaging in the collection, removal, transportation or disposal of sewage. All sewage cleaning equipment and devices must meet standards detailed in W.Va. 64 C.S.R. 47. Bailing or dipping of sewage is prohibited.
Nicholas County Health Department may issue sewage cleaner permits after submission of an Application for a Sewage Tank Cleaning Permit and payment of appropriate fees. Nicholas County Health Department must conduct an initial inspection prior to issuance of a permit. Sewage tank cleaner permits are valid statewide.
Sewage tank cleaners must maintain detailed records of sewage collection and disposal. Septic Tank Cleaner - Quarterly Logs must be submitted to Nicholas County Health Department regularly.
