Nicholas County Health Department Tuberculosis Program tests high risk individuals for Tuberculosis and serves to decrease the spread of the disease and provides tuberculin testing for contacts. You will be asked to fill out a risk assessment form to determine if you are high risk. If you are not high risk, we will provide you with a letter stating you have been assessed and the PPd skin test was not deemed necessary. We also provide x-rays for evaluation of active disease and latent TB infection (LTBI) through our clinics. Clinicians provided chest diagnostic clinics to evaluate/treat active disease and LTBI. We provide medications as well as do Liver Function Tests for TB cases and LTBI patients.
